“Hallo I’ Maurizio Stanzione.
The guitar you see in the picture is a guitar I just got from Andrea. I bought it in his shop in the 1999, fourtheen years ago!! You may think “damn! all that time to build a guitar?”
Well let me explain: After playing the guitar for that long time in studio and onstage, I decided it need a “face lift” so changing it from the original Wine Red, it was to be a new Aqua-Blue Burst….a really SPACIAL finish . This new finish brought out the beauty of the superb flame maple top, highlighting the select material and Andrea’s ability to let them look their best. As I said, the Revamping “face-lifting” touched just the aesthetic, keeping all other elements in their place. My priority was keeping the main character of the Taos exactly as it is: its sound.
Gaining progressively the amp’s volume, the guitar progressively “opens up” and unfold its whole spectrum, keeping stable the ratio between low, mid and hi frequencies, without getting compressed, as often happens with the famous glued-neck brand, and not becoming “razor cutting and bassless” as often happens with famous bolt-on neck brand.
This with all the wide tonal palette I usually have: clean, crunch, lead and ultra, I get with combos, headroom, and (why not?) with my beloved “old” rack systems. Intonation is always perfect and the bridge go back a zero, always.
Thanks Andrea once again to have the job done right, and to renew my prowess owing to one of your instrument.”
