“With Andrea, once again we did again the path of experimentation and research, something we already did several times during the last ten years. We started out brainstorming about the tonal qualities I was looking for (the only real interest to me), trying staying away from usual banalities of common opinions and common construction systems. As a result we ended up with a hybrid construction neck-thru with a top.
I found again a confirmation of an obvious fact: to get to the right point you should start from the right place following the right path, and this with Andrea always happened, during all these years of successful experiments born from animated discussions.
As for previous instruments Manne instruments Andrea was bold and resolute, without compromises.
I hate the people that consider just American instruments while Stradivari built legends with local woods.
Manne is a beautiful experiment of Italianate applied to the art of guitar building, and I am proud and and happy to embrace and play it.
And here is the truth:
Sound: Simply impressive both clean, crunch and lead, with fluted fundamental and live complex harmonic textures, with a defined and fast attack. The sound of wood unmistakably recognizable.
Touch Sensation: Everything feels easy, solid, ready to be played, just under your fingers, just near to your thoughts.
Aesthetic: Really nice thin finish that leaves the instrument free to vibrate, a must if you want to hear the real sound of the instrument.
A choice to absolutely and seriously ponder, as an instrument built like this is not made to camouflage the technique, but ultimately to amplify the stylistic level of the player.”
