A collaboration with the well known electronic/amp tech Roberto “Wally” Olivieri, we had an idea to realize a new passive tone that could offer more possibilities to bassists.
In the center position (localized a central click dent) the tone is fully open with no effect on the sound.
Turned back (counterclockwise) it will work exactly as a passive tone control.
Turned forward (clockwise) it will act as a midrange filter, giving a strong apparent midrange for a growl effect.
This widens the possibilities of a passive tone control, giving the player useful tonal variations without the use of active circuitry and batteries.
