On 19 Marzo the 7th Edition of The Acoustic Happening directed by Roberto Dalla Vecchia took place with a very good success.
This year was one of the concerts that offered many different tastes, from Roberto’s great tunes off of his new CD, to the superb world class Mandolin of Martino Coppo, to the Spanish (Basque) atmospheres of the smart and hilarious Balen Lopez de Munain, and the unique playing of Jim Hurst.
Listening to Jim Hurst I was thinking “He must have an extra (secret) finger in his left hand!”, so I asked Roberto if he noticed it. Roberto told me “No, but I had a kind of similar feeling and I told Jim that his guitar sounds very nice and with some notes that are not present on mine…”
The set had the players both performing individually and then with all possible mixes of players, giving so much movement on the stage, and even some songs featured Martino, Jim and Roberto voices, singing with harmonized backing vocals.
