“The guitar has arrived in good condition and I love it! The look is wonderful. The feel and tone just perfect! I am very happy about the result. After all it IS a very special (and slightly weird) guitar! :o)”
The Ventura is an uncommon Manne release, as it is inspired by the Steve Morse pickup layout. The controls include spilt switching on the two central minihumbuckers, then a selector to directly add the bridge pickup on any selection. An N-tune tuner was installed on the volume.
The project has been carefully designed to provide tone support with a heavy but chambered korina body that compensates for the big routings under the pickups and controls.
A nice personalization has been made at the 12th fret.
Just a short follow-up on the Evang guitar, as Bruno and I have started calling it :o)……I used it with my band yesterday together with my tube amp (Marshall Haze 15 stack – divine for blues!). It was amazing, simply amazing!! The playability and feel I already knew was excellent and oozing from superior quality, but now I experienced the full tone in natural surroundings (I can only use pods at home).
The sustain and tone is wonderful on all pickups, the feedback is perfectly controlled and the versatility is even better than I thought. It was built to be a rock guitar, but is also wonderful for clean, heartfelt passages and everything in between. My number one guitar in the collection used to be a Manne Raven Fireburst for clean and blues, but you have made a serious competitor!
Thank you SO much for your effort, for the superior quality of work and for putting up with my weird wishes for the electronics :o)
Best regards, Jens
