Manne has made a new development on our classic body-neck joint system, creating a new “embedded neck joint plate”.
Here is how it was made. /en/ideas/#guitarneckbodyjoint
Instead of being installed on the edge of the neck, now we are placing it slightly recessed, so the joint plate is embedded into the neck. This creates a better balance of the fingerboard extension, placing the neck to allow fully reachable upper frets, creating increased sound transmission and a better mechanical joint sturdiness.
We also created a special new “integral screw insert” for the bolt-on necks. What was previously a shimmed system using neck joint ferrules under the screws, now uses resin inserts that run all the way through the body, offering more area of contact for gluing and better sound transmission due to acoustic impedance matching.
