After touring one and a half decades around the world with different lineups including members of Molly Hatchet, Whitesnake, Status Quo and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pontus J. Back’s old life came to an end. It was not the music, not the friends, but his own choice of lifestyle that brought Pontus down into the pit of destruction. Pontus had been drinking and using drugs for a long time and now he collapsed. His liver condition was very bad and incurable, his kidneys did not work and he was paralyzed from his waist down to his toes.
One night Pontus met Jesus Christ and that same night Pontus’s life changed. God told him to go out and tell all the people about Jesus and his life, tell all the young people about the dangers and help those who have the same kinds of problems that Pontus had. Since that day Pontus already had a vision and two years later his first solo CD “Ride to Freedom” was released.
Now Pontus is soon releasing his second CD “Thankful” and he is also a new member of the Mannedesign family. Here is what Pontus says about his Mannedesign guitar:
“I have always been a Les Paul type of guy and I always loved loud humbuckers. Since I started to make my own music based on my own life I have been searching for a guitar with a good clean sound. I never got a good clean sound out of a Les Paul but I also never got a good rock sound out of a Stratocaster.
It was the day I got a ManneDesign Falcon in my hand and plugged it in that I realized this guitar is going to be my new friend. I love the neck and the set up, I like the classic custom look and I love the sound of the pickups. So good to know I have a P-90 style bridge pickup there in case I need to rock off. I highly recommend Manne guitars for those who are looking for a good guitar to play. Too often we pay too much just for a brand but here we have a guitar for a good price that is a really good guitar.”
