“The bass is great. I tested it with a Markbass head and a 4×10 Ampeg cabinet. It sounded just as I ask for, very close to Gary Willis’ tone but without being too deep, and for my musical taste is even better. The three tone switches give all usable sounds. The fellows here also appreciated the aesthetic and tone of the bass. Now that I have tested it with my own Bass amp, the sound is really great too. Great character. I know the bolt-on neck was the right choice for me. A nNice low B tone, with defined notes there too.
Maybe it is early now to say it, but the stability of the neck just surprised me: it is a fresh just born baby bass, and as I received it I work around adjusting different actions to find out the best one, but is so easy to dial and so stable. I have much older basses that are not stable at all.
Very nice The Glockenklang circuit too. I have used and I like the Aguilar, but Glock is more sensible. The range is a little less wide and never overemphasizes the band’s frequencies, never creating unnatural and un-usable sounds. For example with the Aguilar at full basses boost, you get an unusable sound. With the Glock you can fully use it so you can have more progressive control of the response.”
